BMC Software Appoints AP Exec Director

BMC Software has appointed Chip Salyards as the company’s executive director of sales and services for Asia Pacific (AP).

Salyards, who will be based in Singapore, will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing a comprehensive sales and services strategy across AP.

Recently serving as the company’s head of sales for Southeast Asia, Salyards joined BMC in 1999.
He spent the first seven years in BMC’s North American offices holding a variety of roles including Sales Specialist, Sales Representative, and Senior Account Manager, and Best Practices Manager before moving to Asia Pacific in 2006 where his roles include overseeing Best Practices for Asia Pacific and managing BMC’s rapidly expanding business in the ASEAN and India markets.

“Chip brings an unparalleled level of enthusiasm and a history of selling excellence to this new role that will undoubtedly fuel additional sales growth and further the BMC footprint across Asia Pacific," said Larry Vaughan, BMC’s vice president of emerging growth sales and services.

Salyards holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Stonehill College (Easton, MA, USA) and an MBA from Suffolk University (Boston, MA, USA).
